Andrew Love was appointed Deputy Chairman of The Ritz London in August 2004, and most recently as Chairman. He was the Chief Executive of The Ritz Club since August 1998 when the Club reopened under new ownership. In June 2008 he was invited to become Executive Chairman of The Ritz Club, and subsequently Non-Executive Chairman.
Prior to joining The Ritz Club, Andrew was the Managing Director of the casino division of Ladbroke Group Plc, responsible for all overseas and UK development, having previously sold City Clubs Limited to Ladbroke Group Plc.
Throughout his career, he has been heavily involved in the leisure industry. He has held several positions on the main board of leading casino and leisure groups including, City Clubs Limited, Leisure Investments Plc, Lebak Leisure Ltd, Metropole Hotels & Casinos, Suits Ltd, Coral Casinos [UK] Ltd, Mayfair Casinos Ltd and Pleasurama Ltd.
He was also a Director of Scottish & Universal Investments, the United Kingdom trading subsidiary of Lonrho Plc. At that time he was also Managing Director of Dutton-Forshaw Motor Group, the second largest motor group in England.
Andrew’s knowledge and experience has enabled him to make a significant contribution to the Gaming and Hospitality industry.
Amongst Andrews further activities, he is also Chairman of St James’s Conservation Trust, a Council member of the Jermyn Street Association, and Director of the Heart of London Business.
Despite a heavy workload, he is a tireless and generous fundraiser and is a member of several charitable committees, including the Stroke Association of which he is an Ambassadeur.
Andrew’s hobbies include golf, tennis and hunting. He was a Joint Master of the Aldenham Harriers and Master of his Livery Company, The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers.
He is a widow and has two children, Alexandra and Anthony and lives in Hertfordshire, England.
