Andrew Love was appointed Deputy Chairman of The Ritz London in August 2004. He was the Chief Executive of The Ritz Club since August 1998 when the Club reopened under new ownership. In June 2008 he was invited to become Executive Chairman of The Ritz Club.
Prior to joining The Ritz Club, Andrew was the Managing Director of the casino division of Ladbroke Group PLC, responsible for all overseas and UK development, having previously sold the business to Ladbroke.
More recently Andrew has taken a greater interest in specific areas of St James’s. He is a committee member of the Jermyn Street Association, Mayfair & St James’s Association and is a Director of the Heart of London Business Alliance. This has given him am a real insight and interest in St James’s and subsequently he was appointed as Chairman of the St James’s Conservation Trust. He is determined in this capacity along with his Trustees that the ethos and spirit of St James’s remains for people at present and people in the future.
Despite being involved in these business related activities, he is a tireless and generous fundraiser and has been a member of several charitable committees, and currently is involved with The Princess Royal Trust for Carers and the Stroke Association, he having been fortunate to recover fully from having had a stroke some three years ago.
Andrew’s hobbies include golf, tennis and hunting. He was a Joint Master of the Aldenham Harriers and Master of his Livery Company, The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers.
He is married to Amanda; they have two children, Alexandra and Anthony and live in Hertfordshire, England.
