RICHARD ORLINSKI EXHIBITION AT SOFITEL LONDON ST JAMES

Sofitel London St James announces a unique collaboration with one of France’s most successful contemporary artists, Richard Orlinski. A selection of his famous figurine works will be displayed in the hotel’s airy lobby from 21st September until 10th November.

The artistic partnership reflects Sofitel’s reputation for skilfully blending art and hospitality and will see the hotel showcasing the acclaimed sculptor’s fantastical figurines – the first time he has shown such a sizeable number of works ever in the UK. The imposing and dramatic sculptures, exhibited in collaboration with UNIT London gallery, will be on display in the lobby, next to the hotel’s entrance on Waterloo Place, permitting visitors a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the extraordinary artwork of one of France’s most lauded contemporary artists.

Through their unique mentoring scheme, disengaged teenagers are given the responsibility of being positive role models for younger children in need of extra support. This September Tiger Lilly will become the official ‘Artist in Residency’ at The Westbury Mayfair, Polo Bar starting from 15th September.

Tiger Lilly is an  award-winning indie pop artist from London. 2017 has been a rollercoaster of success for Tiger Lilly with ‘Broken Glass’ winning an award for ‘Best Pop Song’ from the Akademia Music Awards in LA. Tiger Lilly is currently promoting the release of her new single ‘Broken Glass’ alongside her ‘Music & Mental Health Awareness UK Tour’ this September- October.

NEW MAYFAIR BAR OPENED AT CORRIGAN’S

Dickie’s Bar – a collaboration between Chef Richard Corrigan, Richard Ryan of Drinksology and Gregory Buda from the Dead Rabbit in New York, has successfully opened at Corrigan’s Mayfair to rave reviews.

The bar serves drinks created by Buda, using seasonal produce sourced from Corrigan’s garden and farm, Virginia Park Lodge in Cavan, Ireland. The ingredients will be mixed with seasonal Dickie’s sodas infused in-house at Corrigan’s Mayfair.

BERRY BROS. & RUDD OPENS NEW LONDON SHOP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 319 YEARS

Berry Bros. & Rudd, Britain’s oldest wine & spirits merchant, opened a new shop at 63 Pall Mall.

Located just around the corner from its existing premises on St James’s Street, it is the first London retail outlet to be opened since the company was founded in 1698.

The new retail outlet features a ready-for-drinking range of over 1,000 wines and spirits, starting at under £10 a bottle and curated by the company’s team of experts, which includes seven Masters of Wine.

GLAZIER DESIGN BRANDING FOR LANDMINEFREE2025

Glazier Design created the branding for LandmineFree2025, launched with a moving keynote speech by Prince Harry, who spoke in depth about his mother’s wish to See the scourge of unexplored ordnance removed from fields and farms. The initiative, launched by charities The HALO Trust and Mines Advisory Group, seeks to hold governments to their pledges under the Ottawa Agreement, to rid the world of landmines.   The logo has been rolled out globally. It uses a negative space letter I to represent those killed by landmines and the imploring hands of the figure demanding government action were met by a UK Gov commitment of £100million over the next three years.
